About me
Athanasia Nikolakopoulou was born in Athens in 1987.
She received her Diploma in Classical Guitar with top grades (“Excellent”) as a student of Stelios Moustos.
She also received her Degree (Ptychion) in Classical Guitar from the Hellenic Conservatory in 2009, while in 2007 she received her Degree in Harmony, also with top grades. She is a graduate of Philology from the University of Athens.
She has distinguished herself in the Student Contest of Arts for her performance in guitar, earning Praise in 2004 and winning 3rd Prize in 2005. She has also achieved 3rd Praise in 2013 and 3rd Prize in 2008 in the Filonas PanHellenic Music Contest. She has participated in International Guitar Festivals (in Volos, Naxos, Belgrade etc.) and in the Festival “Music Village of Pelion”.
She has taken classes on music education and subsequently taught music to children in the Cultural Organization “Morfes Ekfrasis”. She has also taken acting classes from actor and director Thomas Kindinis, she has participated as musician-actor in several performances staged by “Morfes Ekfrasis”, and composed music for two children plays.
She has taken part on workshops of flamenco guitar, organised by the flamenco guitarist Panos Kartimpelis.
She is a member of the Duo Capriccioso (flute-guitar).
She teaches the classical guitar in Thucydides Music School and she has also taught the guitar in the Municipal Music School of Loutraki and the Orff music education system at Neo Odeio Alimou.
